I have just signed up as a new account holder. My current electricity meter is already a smart meter.
How would this work if you do not yet have smart meter capability? Will I still have to submit manual readings for now?
Hi @peter1609 , yep exactly. Your smart meter will effectively go dum when you switch over. This means it will work as far as the display and in your home, however it will send no readings automatically to us. So we’ll be asking you for regular readings. In the not-so-far future, the capability will be built for all smart meters to talk to all suppliers. We’re just not there just yet!
