Bulb seems to be offering me the Smart Tariff (currently I am Vari-Fair). I thought that this required a Smart Meter? I did have one installed by SSE, but when I switched to Bulb, I assume this went ‘dumb’. Does the fact that I am being offered the Smart Tariff now mean that , in fact, my SSE Smart Meter is not, in fact, dumb after all?

There are some SMETS1s that we’re able to communicate with. If you would like to join our smart tariff, we’ll do some checks on your meter to find if this is the case for your smart meter.

We are currently working on communicating with all SMETS1 meters at the moment.
