Switch woes

Hi. My Dad is 91 and was pestered by a salesman while shopping at ASDA and ending up signing up to Scotish Power from British Gas.
I’d heard bad things about SP and wasn’t much cheaper so we cancelled the switch and I set him up to switch to Bulb which completes on April 15th.

We receive a letter from SP confirming the cancellation, then next day another saying the gas supply is now active with them! I phone them and despite the canellation the gas switch went through, but not the electric for some reason.

So now having a new gas supplier and the electric still with BG, will the switch to Bulb go ok?
