Switching from Pre Payment Meters to Direct Debit


Just moved into a new property and both the gas and electricity are on pre payment meters. We’ve just changed over to Bulb but would like to have these changed to direct debit, can Bulb do this for Both? Also, would it be worth waiting for the new Smart Meters to be rolled out before changing meter type? The property is in London (not sure if that will make a difference with the roll out dates etc.).


Bulb don’t offer SMETS1 meters as they don’t feel like they want to tie you to them. I think there is a charge of £50 or £100 per meter to change them over. Bulb can facilitate the change. This is a public forum so your questions are beat pointed to help@bulb.co.uk
