Switching to bulb

Hi there. I just want to ask quick question. I did switch from British Gas about 3 weeks ago. I have got prepayment meters for gas and electricity, also have smart meter from BG. Yesterday switch was completely finish, I cannot top up any of these meters using card or online method. Chosen to pay direct debit for both of them. Im running out now of credit and don’t really know what happens next. Was wondering can smart meter go on debit or how it’s supposed look like?
