How can Bulb stop me from switching and not even tell me let alone why

I doubt if they are other than as with all utility companies switching is not allowed of money is owed.

Only the Bulb team can answer your query none of us customers on this forum would know the reason, since we can only speculate that your account with Bulb is in debit… Bulb are obligated to advise why they have possibly objected to your switch, have you asked them and what did they say (please don’t post any personal details in any response)?

@Penavon12 No switch has been blocked, have your new supplier definitely tried to take over the meters? Could you ask them to try again?
