Updated Smart Meter

I have just switched to Bulb from OVO and was fitted with a first generation smart meter for both gas and electric, Will Bulb be changing me over to the second generation meters soon as you are unable to read their meter? I am so used to meter readings being automatically supplied, I have been spoilt! In the meantime, do you send reminders of when I need to read my meters ?

Hi Anna! Yes, we’ll start switching our members to the 2nd generation of smart meters around summer 2018. Not having to input meter reads manually is indeed a huge usability improvement. Meanwhile yes - we do send out email reminders asking for meter reads every month - 3 days before we generate a new bill.
