Wayleave payments

Has anyone ever had wayleave payments for electrical cables/posts running within their property boundary?
I received a letter today from a company that states I’m eligible for fees from my energy supplier as they should be compensating homeowners for using their land. I’m not going to get involved with the company as they charge 20% of the final payment!
I believe I could deal with it directly with Bulb.
If anyone has had any experience with this please let me know. Thank you.

As far as I know, Bulb doesn’t own the delivery infrastructure (piping, wires etc) so I don’t think they are responsible for paying you but they can probably tell you who does own it. I don’t blame you for not giving some company 20% when you can find out yourself; assuming that you ever get a reply to emails and calls to Bulb…

Thanks for that. I’ll probably will be lazy and not pursue it but it’s an interesting topic isn’t it? :joy:
