Bulb are not responsible for a breakdown in your boiler. You either need to call out a gas service engineer (you are responsible for the bill) or you need to take out an annual type contract such as for example that offered by British Gas at: https://www.britishgas.co.uk/home-services/boilers-and-heating.html I’m not endorsing British Gas as there other companies also doing the same options.
