When will I receive my final bill and refund ?

Hi I have recently switched to another supplier and was advised that the switch was completed 8/10/18. When will I receive my final bill ? And will the overpayment on my account automatically be credited back into my bank account? Thanks

It can take up to 6 weeks for the meter reading to go from your old supplier to the ‘independent third party verification’ company who handles switches and then to Bulb (any delays/problems seem to be with the 3rd party company). Once Bulb have the meter reading, they’ll get your account closed and a refund should show up in your bank account a few days later (Bulb say 5-10 days as it’s an absolute minimum of 3 days due to banking schedules - but then weekends/bank holidays etc can delay things: blame banks!).

If you haven’t heard anything by around the 5th week, it may be worth just dropping your new supplier or Bulb (see https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/115001240291-How-can-I-get-in-touch-with-Bulb- for contact details) a quick email so they can pester the 3rd party company.

You really need to speak to the Bulb team on the link @RichyB provided, i.e. https://help.bulb.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/115001240291-How-can-I-get-in-touch-with-Bulb- . None of us customers on this forum are able to give a definitive answer to your query. We would say it nominally takes six weeks.

In mid September I changed to Eon and I spoke to someone at Bulb on the phone and said I was cancelling my direct debit as there was plenty in my account to pay the final bill( generated 2nd October). I was assured that my request had been recorded and to leave my DD which I did (like a mug). They took my DD as usual on 1st October and I am still awaiting a refund. So beware I suggest people cancel their DD and if necessary get Bulb to chase them for money!! I still have not received a refund.
