Why cant I switch my gas account.

I’m in the process of switching to Bulb from outfox The Market. I’ve given meter readings to OTF for gas and electricity but only my electricity has switched over. I got some nebulous msg saying I cant switch my gas account. I was told that my direct debits werent up to date and so i paid my final DD of £76 to OTF. Since then I have heard nothing from either Bulb or OTF - can someone help pls?
