Withdrawing credit in account

I have money in my account from referrals but have been told I can’t withdraw it as I need to keep the money in there that equals the amount I pay every month on my bill.

Is this allowed?

You pay Bulb in advance so you have sufficient credit to cover the following month’s energy use. What they’re saying is you can’t withdraw the monthly direct debit payment you’ve already made in addition to any referral credits to leave zero balance because you’d then go into debit when your charges are applied.

So assuming your monthly payments are covering your usage, you can withdraw your referral credits. You might be able to only withdraw part of your credits if your usage is outpacing your payments.
