wrong meter readings

i just had an email from bulb saying that my charges would be rising by approx £38 per month due to the increased usage of my gas account ’ as we have just come out of one of the hottest summers on record i found this ridiculous but i have checked the meter readings and have found that there is a 144 difference from the last reading , i have sent a picture of the latest reading and hope that this will be rectified . this higher reading may have been my fault mis-reading it , can you let me know that this is rectified as i am on a very tight budget …thanks
